Upcycled Food Association (UFA) is a nonprofit focused on reducing food waste by growing the upcycled food economy. It was created in 2019 by upcycled food companies themselves, who recognized the power of collaboration in growing a successful food category and environmental movement. 

Through research, strategy, networking, and policy advocacy, Upcycled Food Association is building a food system in which all food is elevated to its highest and best use. UFA is comprised of Members and Associate Members from around the world, and is led by the following team:

Hi, I'm Turner, Co-founder and CEO of Upcycled Food Association. I am a social entrepreneur focused on reducing food waste and improving our environment and economy. I come to the upcycled food movement by way of the food rescue/hunger relief movement, where I served as the Executive Director of an award-winning organization for seven years. I am excited to help grow this powerful solution with you!

Hi, I’m Ben Gray MS, RD, Co-founder and COO of the Upcycled Food Association. I come to this work with a deep affection for food and am driven daily by the bold vision of a food system that can sustain all peoples and our planet. I'm excited to support innovative brands and the extraordinary people behind them and proud to help grow an organization that sees equitable participation and being evidence-based as central to the mission of reducing food waste.
